New Course Release!

Detection, Interdiction, and Safe Handling of Counterfeit and Substandard Lithium Batteries


Lithium batteries are used in everyday products such as electronics, toys, headphones, digital cameras, electric vehicles, mobile phones, and more. Law enforcement officers, Customs and border authorities, and postal operators around the world handle lithium batteries on a regular basis. Unfortunately, many of these batteries are counterfeit and substandard, posing threats to these individuals as well as the end consumers.

The webinar was attended by participants from more than 40 INTERPOL member countries, and sought to provide law enforcement with tips for identifying illicit medical products.
